How to Order
Your wedding is one of the most important events in your life. At Ajalon Printing & Design, our creativity and craftsmanship will help bring your vision to life for you and your guests.
Here are the steps of our process:
During this consultation, we will explore with you ways to create an exquisite and memorable invitation experience for your guests. Our goal is to develop invitations that incorporate not only your personality, but your taste and wedding theme. A rough design direction and concept is developed from this meeting. This consultation can be in person or by telephone. Some of our clients combine a trip to the Wine Country with their consultation. Consultations are complimentary up to thirty minutes. Additional consultation time is billed at $80/hour.
During your initial consultation, we’ll work with you to develop a timeline, and provide an estimate based on your timing needs.
Please be aware that intricate designs or specialty papers may incur additional costs. If we are required to expedite the shipping of specialty products, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred.
proposal and contract
You’ll receive a proposal and contract based on the results of your consultation. Your approval of the contract, along with a 50% deposit, authorizes us to begin working on your invitations.
After you provide all the pertinent information, such as wording, dates, etc., you’ll receive your first set of proofs. Your proposal includes the initial modification of one our gallery designs and one round of edits. Additional edits are billed at $25 each.
After your design and all revisions have been completed, you will receive a final proof for your approval. Upon receipt of your approval, we begin production. Please check your final proof carefully. Ajalon Printing is not responsible for errors on approved proofs. Any reprinting costs are the responsibility of the client, and deposits or final payments will not be refunded.
Printing of your invitation set may take one or more days, depending on the size and scope of your order. Your final balance is due at proof approval. Any additional charges, such as assembly and shipping will be due when your order is ready to ship.
Typically, invitations and announcements do not include assembly. We can provide assembly services for $35/hour, and can provide you an estimate for assembling your invitation set. Assembly will require additional time after your press date.
Upon receipt of your final payment, your stationery is securely packaged and shipped via your preferred method.
The time it takes for your invitations to be designed and produced can vary significantly. Factors such as how quickly you make decisions, communicate them to the designer, and how many rounds of edits you have will affect the overall timeline. Be sure to allow extra time if you wish to show your designs to family and friends. At a minimum, allow four to six weeks from your initial consultation to design, produce and ship your order.
Typically, your invitation order is printed within 2-4 weeks after your proof approval. If you need your invitations printed in less than two weeks after proof approval, rush service is available for a 25% upcharge plus any expedited shipping costs for any customization item such as colored envelopes, pocket folders, etc.
Envelopes may also be printed ahead of the rest of your invitation order and shipped separately. An additional charge of $100 plus shipping will be added to your invoice.
Orders may be cancelled at any time. Amount of refund is subject to administrative costs and any work performed or materials purchased.
