Over the holidays I went to the movies with my best friend and saw “7 Pounds.” We heard that Will Smith was the lead in the movie and he’s one of my favorite actors.
I was surprised to see our letterpress machine in a movie. It was fun to watch them running the machine to make invitations. My best friend had never seen a letterpress machine and did not understand what I was talking about before when I mentioned letterpress. She thought that the artwork created using the letterpress was beautiful. Honestly I kind of laughed because it may be beautiful on a theater screen but it is stunningly elegant when you see it and hold it in your hands. Here’s our letterpress movie:
I hope that more people watch the movie to further the understanding of what a letterpress machine is and just how wonderful the designs end up being.
