Affordable Letterpress Invitations
For Your Elegant Wedding- Video

Monday, April 5th, 2010

We recently sent some of our letterpress wedding invitation designs to our friend Lisa Nelson at Elegant Event Planning & Design. We thought she just wanted some samples to show to her clients, but little did we know she was going to make a movie and feature our letterpress wedding invitation designs on her video!

While I could try and add something to Lisa’s comments, she eloquently stated what I feel to be the most important ideas surrounding letterpress wedding invitations:

“I think invitations are very important because they are your guests first impression of your wedding. They should represent the style, theme and formality of your event. Letterpress is a perfect choice for many reasons, its understated elegance…many couples share my sentiments but are put off by the price…I have the perfect solution!”

Our *LIMITED TIME* special on Letterpress Wedding Invitation designs.

Thanks again Lisa for making a movie about us. And good luck with all your spring wedding planning preparations!

DIY Wedding Invitation Address Stamp
How Brides Make Handheld Impressions

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

We recently used one of the coolest DIY tools for self addressing wedding envelopes. It is a small metal stamp that can easily emboss your address onto the flap of your letterpress wedding invitation envelope. I decided to make a quick video to show you ‘do it yourself’ brides exactly how easy this really is:

For those of you without sound, I will include the commentary below:

“The address impression stamp is the coolest tool for DIY savvy brides.

You just slide it over the envelope flap, slightly squeeze the handles and your address is embossed into the paper.

This is the most consistent, legible, and easy to use hand held impression stamp I’ve ever seen.

And don’t worry brides, they cost a lot less than you might expect.”

If you have any questions about the Impression Stamp or would just like to say hello, please feel free to contact us or leave a comment below.

Go Behind the Scenes With a
Letterpress Wedding Invitation Design

Watch a Video of Your Wedding Invitation Being Printed

After printing one our most popular letterpress wedding invitation designs we decided it was time to start filming a little more of what goes on behind the scenes here at Invitations by Ajalon.

So we brought out the camera, set up the lights and action: Printing the Fleur letterpress wedding invitation design video!

For those of you without sound, I will include the commentary below.

“We recently printed one of our Fleur invitation sets and we wanted to make a video to show our letterpress printing in action.

Once we are done printing the invitation and the RSVP both go into the cutter.

After a few quick cuts your invitation is ready to be sent to your guest.”

I hope you enjoyed the short show!

So the next time we printed the Monica letterpress invitation design, we decided to film it so everyone could see how beautiful this invitation set is.

Here is the video giving you a brief overview of the printing process:

For those of you without sound, or if you are at work and need to keep your wedding invitation on the down low, I will include the commentary below.

“So today we just wanted to show you what it looks like to print our Monica letterpress wedding invitation design.

Instead of Letterpress Wedding Invitations
Jill and Kevin’s Wedding Procession Video

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Normally I like to entertain, educate or tell you what I know about wedding invitations, letterpress or marriage in general, but today I must admit I have been bested.

My ideas are nothing compared to this new video I saw over the weekend.

If you are getting married, planning a wedding or just generally want to feel better about your day, check out this amazing video clip from a wedding procession at Jill and Kevin’s Wedding:

If anyone out there is planning on doing something on the same scale of amazing-ness as this, feel free to send me an invite to that wedding!

Have a good day and good luck with all the wedding planning.

Stream Your Wedding Online

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

I’ve been hearing a lot about online meetings, Skype, iChat and video teleconferencing recently. What we are able to do with technology today is astonishing. Over the past couple months rumors circulated that the new iPhone was going to have video chat capabilities. I am not sure if they are true, but they certainly got me excited.

While searching the blog-o-sphere yesterday I stumbled across this site that takes technology to a new location. IdoStream.com has the capacity to take video footage of your wedding and stream it instantly over the internet to any guests that could not make it to the actual event. This is very convenient considering world events, not to mention the stress and expense that traveling can cause.

In one case they were able to link the entire wedding party together with the bride’s sister who was stationed in Iraq. After viewing the ceremony, the sister had a pleasant video chat session with all the guests (bride and the groom in the front of course) from her base.

This could also work as an ideal compromise to not inviting that grumpy second uncle of yours. He can watch a live video from the comforts of his home and only bother his wife and cat.

Just joking…

There are a lot of new websites and ideas out there. Regardless of where you stand on technological innovation, this could be a pretty useful web service.
