I have a couple friends that are avid bird watchers. They have planned trips around the world and spent what I would consider a lot of time and energy dedicated to this hobby. There is a certain level of respect and admiration that I have for people like this. Someone that can be so totally dedicated and infatuated with an idea, animal or project that they learn all they can about the subject.

If you like searching for the holy grail of whatever field interests you, more power to you. This is why I am so excited about the possibilities of custom designed letterpress wedding invitations. You can incorporate any theme or motif that you want in an elegant, subtle or unique way. If you are interested in any particular season, flower, color, symbol animal or otherwise and would like to include that in your invitation set, then go ahead.

Following the spring theme of birds, this new Bethany invitation set includes a perfectly sized bird with a great design. Subtle yet visible, the flowing blue strokes contrast perfectly with the bird’s body.

The Savannah invitation design incorporates a beautiful floral pattern with small birds almost hidden in the background. There is less emphasis on the fowl and more on the overall design and feel of the pattern.

Country Charm focuses more on the stylistic rendering of the nature scene then the overall bird. Between the flowers and the single color choice (on this design), this design is simple yet provocative.

This couple decided to fill the entire page with a hand drawn design of a magnificent peacock. Chosen for a multi-ethnic ceremony, this invitation maintains a cultural root while embracing new possibilities.

One of the reasons brides choose their wedding date because they like a certain season. Using the season that you are being married in is a great way to personalize your wedding. Here is what I like about the seasons:

Winter - The winter season is known by most as the cold season but it is more then that. It is the season for snow falling and sitting in front of warm fires. You can incorporate winter into your invitations in many ways. For example, our letterpress Kristall design is a winter theme with falling snowflakes and Austrian crystals. Click here to order a free sample of this invitation design.

Spring - Spring reminds me of snow melting and fresh beautiful flowers blooming. Personalizing your invitations to add the season has a few options. For example, our Serenity design with the relaxing bamboo is perfect for a spring wedding. Click here to order a free sample of this invitation design.

Summer - Summer is my favorite time of year for a wedding. My wedding was a summer wedding this year on August 9. We had an outdoor wedding under trees by a lake. The warm weather that lasts until late in the evening, allowing wedding festivities to go later, is enticing. For example, our Key West design is a warm summer theme for a beach wedding. Also our Country Charm with the warm orange coloring of the bird is perfect for a summer country wedding. Click here to order a free sample of this invitation design.

Fall – Fall or Autumn is a fun time of year. The crunching of the leaves and the cooling of the temperature announces the coming of winter and the holiday season. For example, our Valley Oak is a warm design with the falling leaves and acorns. It is perfect for a fall wedding and would combine well with just about any theme. Click here to order a free sample of this invitation design.

Coming Next Week – How to use the location of your wedding to personalize your invitation!
