Hey celebs, we’ll be watching you!

The 2011 celebrity wedding world was filled with excitement (the Royal Wedding, yay!), drama (Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries split after 72 days? Boo!), and love (third time’s a charm for Sir Paul McCartney…hopefully). We can only hope for an equally turbulent 2012!

Here are a few 2011 celebrity engagements that I will definitely be watching out for in the coming months:

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

 THIS might be the most exciting news in the celeb wedding world! One goes through several stages after hearing the news: first is anger (Justin was going to be MY future-hubby!), second is grief (Justin and Britney are never getting back together?), third is happiness. This is one amazing couple, guys.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson

 We saw Jessica’s ex, Nick Lachey, marry in 2011, it only makes sense that Jessica will wed in 2012! Everyone has been anticipating wedding plans in the works ever since hearing about her pregnancy with Eric Johnson. I cannot wait to see them unite as one happy family.

Kat Von D and Jesse James

I was excited for this wedding in 2011! Then they called off their engagement. Now it’s back on! I cannot wait to see the celebration that this rock’n'roll couple will throw.

Which is your favorite celebrity invitation of 2011?

2011 was a big year for celebrity marriages! I loved seeing all of the invitations, even if they weren’t letterpress ; ), and photos from the ceremonies and receptions.

I think it is safe to say that the Royal Wedding was the most anticipated wedding of the year. Which celebrity wedding excited you the most? I tend to get excited about a wedding with an awesome invitation!

So many 2012 brides are asking us for an invitation that resembles Kim Kardashian’s. Who can blame them? That’s one hot monogram. An invitation box is an amazing way to enclose your invite as well.

Prince William and Kate Middleton

Prince William did not stray from tradition with his wedding invitations. Classically designed to match Princess Diana’s invites, these invitations will go down in history, just like the Royal Wedding.

Like Mother, Like Son

Remember our last post about the royal wedding invitation? What kind of invite were you hoping for, something traditional, or something fun? It looks like Prince William and Kate Middleton decided to go the traditional route with  invitations that resemble Princess Diana’s from 1981.

The invitation features the Queen’s crest at the top– an excellent accent for a royal affair. Invitations were sent to 1,900 guests. Included with their invite is also a  reception card and the Prince’s fête card. The fête is a large celebration that will be held in the Prince’s honor.

It looks like it’s going to be a good party! I think we’re going to see a lot of brides following in the royal footsteps with luxurious affairs in 2011. What kind of wedding are you throwing? If it’s a royal one, I have some invitations ideas for you.

Did you get your royal fax?

Apparently Queen Elizabeth sent out Prince William and Kate Middleton’s save the dates…via fax!

Let’s just admit right now that we’re all dying to know what the royal couples’ invitation will look like (please don’t be a fax!). I am wondering if they will opt for a modern design with lots of color and detail, or follow in Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s footsteps with a traditional, royal invitation.

Some celebrity gossip is just so scandalous; I try not to talk too much about any of it—except for when they’re getting married! Jesse James, Sandra Bullock’s recent ex, proposed to LA Ink star Kat Von D!

Multiple Ceremonies, One Marriage

Michael Bublé recently announced to the Today show that he and fiancé Luisana Lopilato plan to tie the knot on March 31 and April 6, 2011!

Bublé also announced the location of the wedding: Argentina and Vancouver, Canada. It’s not rare to see couples plan two separate ceremonies within one wedding celebration, and letterpress printers hear the cries for help when designing the perfect invitation.  Information for both ceremonies can be included on one card, or you can send separate invites out for each event.
