Spring 2015-Pantone Color Report: Marsala

A grounding color for a spring celebration full of romance and mystery.

Pantone is at it again! The color moguls from the fast and furious East Coast are back with more incredible color palettes to woo us into a fashion frenzy. We are swooning over the gorgeous 2015 colors that were released only days ago. These incredible hues, which are incredible both on their own and combined together, will be perfect inspiration for your upcoming big day.

Marsala is a deep and dusty color that suggests the reddish brown clay of the Southwest or the deep wines of California’s vineyards. The shade is robust and hearty, with an undertone of complex color combinations that lets Marsala play well in any visual theme. Elegant with a little bit of sass, this is a color you’ll want to get to know.

Grooms don this color with ease. The handsome hues on these gentlemen show that anyone can enjoy Marsala in a tie, boutonniere, suit, or bow tie. The groom’s braces even look good, who knew you could get suspenders in that color?! Try mixing it up with a pattern on a sleek color to boot, like a deep Malibu blue.

If you are looking to marry this modern color with a traditional look, try our Cathryn design. This letterpress invitation has it all, from a wreath of flowers to a gorgeous monogram. The delicate details of floral leaves and the script that gives the motif a formal air is perfect for your wedding.

How will you wear Marsala? A deep red dress pops in the forest and a draped sari paired with gold truly grabs your attention. Try an ombre wash into white or a throw to keep you warm in the chilly beginnings of spring. Match your wedding colors with your beau’s pocket handkerchief or the softer tones of his dress shirt.

Is your wedding a traditional Indian affair? The peacock motif is perfect, with paisley intermingling with hand drawn details of winding feather details. Perhaps your fusion wedding is taking place at a national zoo or an animal sanctuary. You wildlife lovers can’t go wrong with Jessica, either.

The bridal bouquet is the most essential detail to match to your wedding color scheme. Pick out a beautiful bouquet of flowers to proudly carry down the aisle. Every season of the year yields blooms for a Marsala wedding. If you’re feeling adventurous, match your hair and nails to the bouquet. It will make your bridal look complete!

The wedding guests will be in awe over your reception’s tablescapes. Don’t forget that your eye for detail will get to shine here around the place settings for your big banquet. Choose floral accents in Marsala or perhaps play with the dishware to make the little decisions seem big! Not only will it be fun for you, but your guests will go gaga over these clever looks.

Our exotic wedding invitation Passion lovingly displays the flower of the same name. This gorgeous motif showcases the anatomy of this incredibly wild flower and you can’t help but love the romantic look of the curling vines and the dreamy flower petals. Did you know that you can find these flowers in the Florida Keys, Africa, and even the Andes Mountains! A flower for all kinds of climates and all kinds of love.

There’s nothing better at a wedding than the exchange of vows…except for the dessert table, that is! Move over, sister, because we’re heading straight for the reception hall to fawn over the cakes, pies, and treats. So don’t forget to tie your wedding colors into the frosting and candy coating your guests are dreaming of. Marsala is a great color to pair with tea-flavored cakes or red velvet snacks. Decorate the sweets with seasonal berries or pink peonies to brighten up a white cake or a dark chocolate dessert.

    Hello Lavon,
Unfortunately, it appears the link from Pinterest (where we found this image) is no longer valid. I would recommend heading to Google and doing a search. I did this myself and there are a lot of options out there for burgundy suits. Congratulation on your upcoming nuptials and happy hunting!
