Robot ‘Priest’ Performs Wedding
Non-traditional Wedding Ceremonies

I wonder if they had letterpress wedding invitations?

During the time I have been writing about letterpress wedding invitations, I thought I had seen it all. But video game wedding invitations, epic wedding ceremony entrance dances and tree bark textured paper cannot even come close to this. Recently in Japan in an  internationally broadcasted wedding, a robot priest conducted the first ever ceremony of its kind.

“I-Fairy” a four-foot tall robot was recently constructed with the express purpose of presiding over a wedding ceremony. Everything else was planned and performed in a fairly traditional Japanese wedding ceremony fashion, but no one could miss the unmistakably non-human look and sound of the robot.

I wonder if this is the wedding ceremony way of the future. I guess the next thing we will probably see is a wedding ceremony conducted via an online video chat.  Regardless of what the future of wedding invitations and ceremonies holds, I still love letterpress wedding invitation designs and a good ol’ fashioned wedding ceremony.
