Personalizing Your Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Personalizing Your Letterpress Wedding Invitations Photo

All The Places You Can Put Your Photos

Have any of you seen the birthday cakes that they put pictures on? If you bring a picture to the right supermarket or specialty bakery, they will use different colors of frosting to “print” the picture onto the top of the cake. I have no idea how it actually happens, but I still find the process rather fascinating.

I was at a wedding about a year ago where the bride and groom did this. First they had a professional photographer take a couple different portraits of them before the wedding. Then they chose their favorite one and had it printed on the top layer (only two layers) of the cake. It made for a lively discussion during the reception and overall was a hit. And no, the groom did not put any cake in the bride’s face, that would just be weird.

Speaking of photos though, another great place to include a picture is somewhere in the wedding invitation. This couple decided the best way to invite people to share in their love was to include photos in their save the date card that expressed how they felt about each other.

Personalizing Your Letterpress Wedding Invitations Photo

While thinking about your letterpress wedding invitations, why not include a special photo of you and your betrothed? It can add an extra special vibe to your invitation set.
