Multicultural Wedding Invitations
Blending With Bilingual

Deciding how to blend cultures on your wedding invitations can be a challenge.  Sometimes, it’s easier said than done.  With a few of our tips and a little extra planning, we can get you on the right track.

Before deciding on your invitation layout, it’s best for both of you to familiarize yourself with each other’s cultural traditions and beliefs. Trust me, it will be fun and definitely worth the effort.  Choose which ones are most important to both of you and how you would like to incorporate them on your invitation.  Some couples choose to have multiple ceremonies.  If this is something you will be doing, think about listing both events on one invitation or adding insert cards, this is a great way to save time and money.

All too often there are family and friends who travel from other parts of the world to attend the wedding.  How will you accommodate possible language barriers? You certainly do not want them to feel left out or segregated.  Providing bilingual wedding invitations is an easy way to avoid this confusion. That way, everyone will feel like an important part of your special day.

Wedding Day Items: Signs, Menus and Place Cards

I really enjoy weddings, but what I look forward to most is the reception.  I have a certain weak spot for all the creative little details.  After all, who doesn’t love the perfect little signs at the food table, the sweet sayings on the themed favor tags, or the cute little place cards with your name on them.

Remembering these little details can easily fall between the cracks.  Whether you choose to have a formal reception or a “laid back anything goes” marshmallow roast, you’ll want to get crackin’ on wedding day items as soon as possible.

Getting Creative With Your Fall Reception Menu

Planning the menu at your fall wedding opens the door to a whole array of palate-pleasing comfort foods.

Tis the season! Get creative. Don’t be afraid to use the seasonal veggies and fruits to your advantage.  After all, who wants to attend a “barbeque bonanza” in the middle of fall?

When I think of fall, I think of hot creamy soups, gooey casseroles, and rich pumpkin spice flavored desserts.  Throw in a serve yourself hot chocolate or s’mores bar and you got yourself a fun and festive fall wedding reception, don’t you agree?

Fabulous Foils For Your Fall Wedding

One of our favorite seasons at Invitations by Ajalon, is fall.  The red, gold, deep purple, and yellow shades of nature, mixed with the scent of sweet spice in the air, create the perfect atmosphere for a fall wedding.

Capturing the glory of such a romantic season can be as easy as choosing earthy tones and harvest colors for your wedding invitations.  Now, if you want to wow your guests and really take your invitation set to the next level, indulge in foil stamping.  Foil adds that extra bit of elegance and pizazz to any fall invitation set.

Take a look at some of our favorites.

Ready, Set, Groom!

Ladies, we tend to get so wrapped up in ourselves when it comes to planning our wedding, that we forget our soon-to-be significant other.  That’s right, sorry girls, this one’s all about grooming the groom.

He may not need the lacy dress or the hair and makeup session, but our beaus do need to look just as amazing as we do. And trust me when I say, helping him get ready for his big day will benefit both of you.

Will your fearless fella be whisking you away in a black tie tuxedo, or is he more of a “casual dress shirt and slack” kind of guy? And how about them shoes? We all know if men had it their way, that trusty pair of sweaty gym sneakers would be just fine for their trip to the altar.  If their shoes are anything like ours, the prettier they are the more pain they inflict, you may have to settle for an extremely casual option.  Let’s talk accessories, they aren’t just for us, men like to add a little Rico Suave to their get ups just like we do. I’m talking fancy lapel pins, a macho set of cufflinks, or even a coordinating pocket hanky, all of which can really add that extra bit of flare to his ensemble.

It’s true, guys may not care so much about all the little details, but they still deserve to look and feel their best on their big day. After all, there’s no “I” in we.

Same Sex Weddings
Unique Ways To Say “I Do”

Having a same sex wedding is absolutely wonderful and exciting.  Living in such diverse times has opened the door for same sex couples and given them the opportunity to make their marriage official.

Weddings, in the traditional sense, have become so blase for many same sex couples. They are now choosing to take the more creative and fun approach when planning their nuptials. It’s no wonder why unique motifs, flamboyant color schemes, and posh venues have become the LGBTQ way to say “I do.”

Your wedding should represent everything that shines within you.  I say, if you’ve always dreamt of being a princess or riding in on their noble….unicorn, well then why not make that dream a reality, these couples did!
