Same Sex Weddings
Unique Ways To Say “I Do”

Having a same sex wedding is absolutely wonderful and exciting.  Living in such diverse times has opened the door for same sex couples and given them the opportunity to make their marriage official.

Weddings, in the traditional sense, have become so blase for many same sex couples. They are now choosing to take the more creative and fun approach when planning their nuptials. It’s no wonder why unique motifs, flamboyant color schemes, and posh venues have become the LGBTQ way to say “I do.”

Your wedding should represent everything that shines within you.  I say, if you’ve always dreamt of being a princess or riding in on their noble….unicorn, well then why not make that dream a reality, these couples did!

Designing Your Multicultural Wedding Invitation

Figuring out how to celebrate your heritage on your wedding invitations can be a challenge. Add another culture and it can seem even more overwhelming.

Everyone sees culture a little differently, even people of the same heritage. What do the cultures you’re blending mean to you?  What aspects are most important to you and your future spouse?  And what do they mean to your future in-laws? Taking into consideration all these elements and presenting them on your wedding invitation will be well worth it.

Another very important element is language.  Blending different cultures together can mean different languages. Will you be accommodating this? A great way to do that is to design your bilingual invitation with both languages in two separate columns. Take into consideration key elements geared towards each culture.  If there are strong colors that represent love, prosperity, and wealth to you or your spouse’s culture, try to incorporate them.

Finding the best way to incorporate both cultures on your wedding invitation takes a few extra steps, in the end the result is far greater than the challenge.

Tips For Planning Your Jewish Wedding Ceremony

Congratulations! It’s time to plan your Jewish wedding.  Not sure what to do first? We have gathered some tips to help you plan your unforgettable day.

Traditional or new age, either way you go, first things first…you need to set a date and send out that wedding invitation.

Deciding whose side of the family will contribute where is another important step.  It may be a good idea to get together and decide on a budget, that will help you narrow it down.  Once that is under wraps, where will you say I do?  Perhaps a synagogue? An outdoor venue? If you do choose an outdoor location, always keep weather in mind. Booking a synagogue takes advance notice, so be sure to allow enough time in case you need to select a different location or date.  Let’s not forget to call a rabbi, they tend to have traditions they follow which require preparation in advance.

Jewish weddings have many traditions, it will be worth your while to discuss with your significant other which ones are most important and need extra time and attention.
